It was a productive day in the box for Erie’s leadoff hitter Greene, who knocked a triple and a double and scored thrice in the SeaWolves’ 9-6 victory over Binghamton. The 2019 fifth overall pick has cooled off a bit from his hot start to the year, but has remained an effective leadoff hitter getting on base at a .364 clip and swiping 11 bags. With Spencer Torkelson and Dillon Dingler behind him, Greene has scored 46 runs and driven in 36 himself.

Rodríguez’s hitless stretch reached 13 at-bats until he ended it with an exclamation point. The 20-year-old belted a grand slam in his second plate appearance for his second home run since his promotion to Double-A and first since July 2, a span of 29 at-bats. Luciano has struggled in July, but looked a bit more like himself Wednesday as he went 3-for-4 with a double, RBI and a pair of runs scored. The 19-year-old drove home a run with an RBI double in the sixth and is hitting .271 through 56 games in his first full season. Dodgers: Keibert Ruiz, C (MLB No. 41), Triple-A Oklahoma City
Ruiz didn’t have as much success as he would’ve liked in his short stint in Los Angeles at the beginning of May (1-for-7, five strikeouts), but he’s continued to rake since returning to Oklahoma City. Ruiz had two home runs and knocked in five runs in a 3-for-4 day against Salt Lake. His average and OPS jumped to .290 and 1.018, respectively, and the Dodgers’ top prospect now has 11 home runs with 17 walks to just 18 strikeouts at the Triple-A level in 2021.
