Hudson County View By John Heinis/Hudson County View Mickey Mendez, 21, of Jersey City, along with Jamil Rivera, 20, Kyeise Lopez, 22, Joseph Crandell, 28, and Keshon Crandell 21, all of Hoboken, were charged with rioting, disorderly conduct, and simple assault, according to Police Det. Lt. Danilo Cabrera. Additionally, Mendez was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, while Joseph Crandell was charged with resisting arrest. Monroe City Council has narrowly agreed to move forward with a partial conversion of Cass and Harrison Streets, despite loud and persistent outcry from residents who believe the project is dangerous and unnecessary. Council voted 4-3 Monday to approve the conversion of Cass and Harrison to two-way traffic from Fourth Street to First Street, a departure from the initial plan to convert almost the entirety of both streets from their current, one-way configurations.
