DUBAI,18th April, 2021 (WAM) – The Dubai Islamic Economy Development Centre (DIEDC) today announced the theme for the fifth edition of the Global Islamic Economy Summit (GIES 2021), organised this year in partnership with Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Dubai Chamber) and with the strategic support of Refinitiv, a London Stock Exchange Group company.

Data and artificial intelligence (AI) are expected to become key pillars that will build and grow the UAE’s digital economy in the future, adding a major boost to the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) in the long term, industry experts predicted during a recent virtual panel discussion hosted by Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
