[email protected] HOWLAND The two people found dead Friday evening in a home on the 8600 block of Howland Springs Road SE have been identified by the Howland Police Department. Autopsies were performed Wednesday on Amy M. Hornbeck, 44, and Ross W. Blair, 43. The Trumbull County Coroner’s forensic investigator, Kathy Meszaros, said the causes of death for both will not be released until after toxicology reports are completed. Meszaros said that could take up to six weeks or more. According to the township police report, officers were dispatched about 6:20 p.m. Friday to the Howland Springs Road address. Upon arrival, an officer spoke with Howland Fire Department medics who already confirmed the deaths of the two inside the residence. The bodies were found in a bedroom by a concerned friend, the report states. ....
[email protected] HOWLAND Township police are investigating the circumstances of two people found dead Friday evening in a home on the 8600 block of Howland Springs Road SE. Forensic investigator Kathy Meszaros said autopsies of the male and female, ages 45 and 44 respectively, are to be conducted Wednesday by the Trumbull County Coroner’s Office. Their identifications are to be released by the coroner’s office. A friend who went to the Howland Springs Road residence through a back door to check on the couple called Trumbull County 911 about 6:19 p.m. on Friday. The friend, who found the couple in a bedroom, told dispatchers the two had been at an East Market Street bar in Howland the night before. ....
[email protected] HOWLAND Residents have expressed concerns to township officials about proposed plans by the Ohio Department of Transportation to change the intersection at state Route 82 and Howland Wilson Road by removing all left-turn lanes. Resident Bruce Gump told trustees he is concerned that once the intersection is altered, more traffic will be routed to Howland Springs Road, creating problems there. Gump said motorists coming west from state Route 11 will have to travel along state Route 82 down the hill to state Route 46, and then make a left and head south under Route 82 through several traffic lights by Lowe’s and Sam’s Club and then try to make a left across two lanes of traffic onto Howland Springs. ....
