Humboldt County Public Health confirmed 26 new COVID-19 cases today making 61 this week after laboratories processed 201 samples with a test-positivity rate of 12.9 percent.
No new hospitalizations were reported today but, according to a state database, seven people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19 locally, including two under intensive care.

Humboldt County Public Health confirmed seven new COVID-19 cases today after laboratories processed 242 samples with a test-positivity rate of 2.9 percent.
The county also reported that one previously reported hospitalization has been removed from the local tally after it was determined that while the patient had COVID-19, the virus wasn t the reason they were hospitalized. According to a state database, six people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19 locally, including four under intensive care.

Humboldt County Public Health confirmed six new COVID-19 cases today, as well as three hospitalizations, including two of residents in their 40s.
Today s cases were reported after laboratories processed 29 samples with a test-positivity rate of 20.7 percent.
According to a state database, six people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19 locally, including four under intensive care.
Public Health reported yesterday that it is increasingly seeing cases of infection in children, noting that 10 of 53 cases since June 28 had been in children age 9 or younger. ....

Public Health Reports Another COVID-19 Death, 22 New Cases

A 51st Humboldt County resident has died with COVID-19, Public Health reported today, while also confirming 22 new cases and one new hospitalization a resident in their 40s since Friday.
Today s cases were reported after laboratories processed 447 samples with a test-positivity rate of 4.9 percent. Over the past two weeks, even as vaccination rates have continued to increase, the county confirmed 100 new cases of the virus locally, with six hospitalizations and two deaths.
According to a state database, nine people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19 locally, including one under intensive care.
Since the last weekly update on June 28, Humboldt County has seen 53 cases of COVID-19, Public Health reported today. Ten children between the ages of 0 and 9 tested positive for the virus over the last week. The 30 to 39 age group ....

Five new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Humboldt County today. One previously reported case was removed because it was determined to be a duplicate. The total number of county residents who have tested positive now stands at 4,586. 
Additional cases of the significantly more contagious Delta variant were identified in Humboldt County this week. Delta is anticipated to become the predominant strain locally as in the rest of the country, where it is responsible for one in every four new infections, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).  ....
