(Image: PA) Ms Curry said: “We were looking for a new partner for our degu Sophie as she lost her partner last year to old age and had become depressed.” However, Ms Curry would not accept just anyone to be Sophie’s new companion as they were seeking the “perfect match”. After hearing Greg’s story, Ms Curry applied to adopt him and he soon moved into their home. Ms Curry says that “he and Sophie are very much in love!” Rehoming manager at Blue Cross, Hannah Wiltshire, said she was “delighted to have found Greg a new love. ....
