Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has said he has pledged at least Rs 15 crore till date in India s fight against the coronavirus pandemic and will not hesitate to contribute more from his personal funds if the need arises. Less than a day after the actor gave a detailed response to his detractors who called out celebrities on social media for not helping people amid the grave health crisis in the country, Bachchan took to his blog to give an update on his philanthropic work.
On Sunday night, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, president of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, tweeted that the veteran star had donated Rs 2 crore to Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur COVID Care Centre at New Delhi s Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib to combat the virus in the national capital. ....

Mumbai: Actor Amitabh Bachchan has been facing backlash from the netizens who alleged that he has not contributed towards COVID-19 relief funds in India. Upset over constant trolls and the distasteful comments, the actor, took to his blog and shared that he ‘believes in doing charity rather than speaking about it’.
Big B also revealed that he has adopted two children who have lost both parents during the COVID-19 pandemic. Amitabh Bachchan further said that the contributions that his family had made in the past few years has always been kept under the wraps, with no social media show-off saying that “only the receiver knew and that was the end ..” ....

NEW DELHI: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has donated Rs 2 crore to Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur COVID Care Centre at the Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib here to help them combat the coronavirus crisis.

New Delhi: As India is struggling with the second wave of the COVID pandemic, celebrities have been trying to help people deal with the crisis. Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has contributed Rs. 2 Crore for the COVID-care centre at Rakab Ganj Gurdwara in Delhi.
Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee President Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that it is scheduled to open on Monday.
