Pasay City gov t distributes P15,000 livelihood aid to 500 beneficiaries – Manila Bulletin

Published April 27, 2021, 2:30 PM The Pasay City government has started the distribution of  P15,000 livelihood assistance grant (LAG) to 500 deserving families, Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said Tuesday. The grant will be used by the beneficiaries as a seed capital for new alternative income-generating activities or certain micro-enterprise ventures, according to the mayor. She said the payout of the LAG was scheduled to be held on April 27 and 28 at the Zamora Elementary School. Rubiano said the 500 beneficiaries were chosen by the Department of Social Welfare and Development-National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR) to help them recover from economic losses due to coronavirus disease (COVID-19) crisis.

Pasay City distributes financial assistance to 646 families

Emi Calixto-Rubiano (FACEBOOK / FILE PHOTO / MANILA BULLETIN) Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the payout of financial assistance to 646 heads of households from two barangays will be distributed simultaneously. Rubiano said the payout amounting to P1,000 or up to P4,000 was distributed to 123 heads of families from Barangay 104 at the Zamora Elementary School. Meanwhile, the payout for the 523 heads of families from Barangay 46 was held at the Rafael Palma School, she added. The mayor also visited the two distribution centers to ensure the payout was in order and that health protocols were being followed. Rubiano reminded all the beneficiaries to bring their valid identification cards (IDs). In case the head of the family is unable to claim, he or she must issue an authorization letter, along with the photocopy of his IDs and the authorized representative.

Mayor Isko, Bishop Pabillo meet today to discuss proposed use of churches as COVID-19 vaccination sites

Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso & Archdiocese of Manila Apostolic Administrator Bishop Broderick Pabillo (Facebook / MANILA BULLETIN) Domagoso and the bishops will identify during the meeting the churches that will be used by the local government unit (LGU) as sites for the COVID-19 vaccine rollout. Manila’s big churches, particularly those in Intramuros, are ideal vaccination sites because they have open spaces that can prevent the spread of COVID-19, he said. The city government has identified 18 vaccination sites for the COVID-19 vaccine rollout. These are: District 1 ●Vicente Lim Elementary School

    ●Zamora Elementary School The city government has identified which barangays are nearest to each COVID-19 vaccine site.  Each district also has a designated hospital where COVID-19 vaccine patients can be brought to in case of emergencies:     ●District 1 – Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center     ●District 2 – Ospital ng Tondo     ●District 3 – Justice Jose Abad Santos General Hospital     ●District 4 – Ospital ng Sampaloc     ●District 5 – Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center     ●District 6 – Sta. Ana Hospital The city’s 12 new high-end ambulances and members of the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), Manila Police District (MPD), and Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau (MTPB) will be deployed to manage emergencies.
