She made plans last year to commission a mural on the building, but she had to wait until recently to make it happen due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Mural artist adds homage to Michigan to Salon Simply Beautiful in Berkley Tags: BERKLEY, Mich. – The owner of Salon Simply Beautiful in Berkley joined forces with a mural artist from Pontiac to create some uplifting spring art. The mural, a homage to Michigan can be seen along Coolidge Highway in Berkley. Nikki Maybee with the salon provided space for Zach Curtis to share his art. Curtis finished his work on the mural on Friday. “The wall was so uneventful,” Maybee said. “Boring concrete .
