Islamabad:Brining reforms about pensions is an urgent need to ensure sustainable fiscal growth at the federal as well as at provincial levels.
Speakers said this while sharing their views with the participants during an online dialogue on “Reform of pensions: lessons from successful examples in Pakistan” organised by Sustainable Development Policy Institute in collaboration with Sustainable Energy and Economic Development (SEED).
The former head of Federal Pay and Pension Commission, Wajid Rana said that any pension reforms cannot be separated from pay reforms. Both pay and pension bills are growing at a rapid pace and more is being consumed from the general revenue collections due to this increase, he added. ....

BoP, Millat Tractors sign MoU for fast track processing and delivery of machinery

The Bank of Punjab and Millat Tractors Limited- MTL have signed an MOU for provision of Fast Track Processing and Delivery of Tractors and Farm Machinery to qualifying applicants at subsidized markup rate under Prime Minister’s Kamyab Jawan – Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme (PMKJ YES).
The ceremony was held at The Bank of Punjab Head Office in Gulberg Lahore. Usman Dar – Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Youth Affairs was the chief guest of the ceremony. Zafar Masud – President & CEO BoP and Asif Riaz – Group Head Retail and Priority Sectors Lending represented BoP while Millat Tractors Limited was represented by Sikandar M Khan – Chairman Millat Group, S.M. War against political, profiteering mafia continues: PM - Newspaper

LAHORE: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that war against political and profiteering mafia is going on to ensure supremacy of the rule of law, as it serves as a defining moment to transform the country into a corruption-free and independent society.
“We have the determination to break the status quo of the system plagued with corruption and uncalled-for delays that push people to pay for their genuine work in government establishments,” the prime minister asserted while speaking at a ceremony here on Friday.
“The UNDP’s latest report says the war-torn Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the one province in Pakistan that overcame poverty during the past six years,” Mr Khan said, claiming that it was for this reason his party Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) regained power in KP in 2018 elections. ....
