Police advised her to follow up with the financial institution. This occurred after an unknown person had contacted the resident and tricked her into providing personal information, she said. On March 12, a Brown Road woman reported that someone opened a fraudulent Visa credit card account in her name. On March 13, a Meadow Road resident reported someone intercepted and altered a check, originally written to Citi Card. The check was then fraudulently written to an unknown person for more tan $13,000. ....
KITCHENER The Guelph family involved in a tragic crash last Sunday, that claimed the life of their son, posted publicly that their 10-year-old daughter will also not recover from her injuries. Amanda Lodge has been in McMaster Hospital since the crash that happened on Sprague Road in North Dumfries. The Lodge family wrote online that knowing her organs will be donated gives them some solace amid their pain. The family shared earlier that their 12-year-old son Evan died in the crash. KITCHENER Susan was driving the kids home from an afternoon of cross-country skiing, an online journal entry from a father read in part. Gregson Lodge was talking about his wife and children, who were involved in a serious crash last weekend near Cambridge. His son, 12-year-old Evan Lodge, did not survive. Police said that three vehicles were involved in the collision. The family was headed east on Sprague Road in North Dumfries when their van was hit by an SUV heading north. Shortly after, another SUV hit the two vehicles at the intersection. The van flipped over several times before landing on its roof, the journal entry said. ....
