Boy, 17, turns himself in for fatal Jan. 11 park shooting
Ceres Police have arrested a Modesto teenager who turned himself in for the Jan. 11 fatal shooting in Strawberry Fields Park.
The suspect is a 17-year-old male whose name was not released because he is a minor. On Wednesday he was booked into Stanislaus County Juvenile Hall on charges of murder, assault with a deadly weapon and robbery.
Ceres Police Department spokesman Sgt. Keith Griebel said no additional information will be released to preserve the integrity of the investigation.
Fatally shot at the park was Miguel Pena, 18, of Ceres who died at a local hospital after hanging on for four days. ....
