Following a year in which most Fourth of July events were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, area residents can attend a variety of in-person events this holiday.
Here’s a list of local parades, fireworks and other events to celebrate Independence Day.
Bridgewater
The parade starts at 10 a.m. on Sunday, July 4, on Grove Street, then travels onto Summer Street, to Dean Street, to Worcester Street, through the center of town, onto Summer Street and ends at Bridgewater State University.
The Music and Art Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on The Quad at Boyden Hall at Bridgewater State University, at 131 Summer St. The carnival will be held at 5 p.m. Fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m. on Legion Field, at 175 Bedford St.
