1st April 2021 Steven Davis made history last night as he won his 126th cap for Northern Ireland and became the most capped male international for any of the Home Nations and former team-mate David Healy has waxed lyrical about the veteran Rangers star and his role in one of Northern Ireland’s most famous goals. Healy scored the only goal of the game against Sven Goran Eriksson’s England in a World Cup qualifier at Windsor Park in September 2005, with the Three Lions boasting superstars like David Beckham, Wayne Rooney, Frank Lampard and Davis’ current Rangers boss Steven Gerrard. Healy couldn’t praise his former international colleague enough as he overtook Peter Shilton’s record of 125 caps, and insisted there wouldn’t be any arguments if Davis was to be named Player of the Year for his stunning form for Rangers this season. ....
COMMUNITY group Otley 2030 is running an art and photography competition, encouraging children and adults to capture the wonderful wildlife and greenspaces at the East of Otley. In reaction to plans for a development of 550 new homes and relief road on the eastern outskirts of the town, people are being encouraged to take photos and create artworks, which celebrate the beauty of the Irish Fields, Ings Tip and the surrounding fields, streams, trees and hedgerows. The competition will run throughout the spring, until Friday, April 30, with categories for adults and children. Otley photographer, Steve Davey, will be judging the photos and local designer, Kate Broughton will judge the artwork. ....
The Norfolk Street site which York-based developer Grantside has bought. A YORK-based developer has bought two sites with plans for a new concept of co-living and working space which could be rolled out across the UK. Grantside, which was founded in 1993 but recently relaunched with a focus on sustainability and integrity, has bought the prominent sites in Sheffield. Grantside also has plans to launch new projects in York this year, and is also involved in other joint venture sustainable regeneration opportunities across the UK.
The Sheffield plans are for a new concept at the Bowling Green Street site, which would see small commercial spaces alongside shared facilities, open courtyards and private apartments. ....

The pandemic has hit many professional photography businesses really hard, but it has been particularly difficult for travel photographers and travel photography course leaders, who rely on being able to reach distant locations quickly and easily. Even after the first lockdown ended last year, and things were looking reasonably optimistic, many photogenic countries, such as Vietnam, were still closed to most foreign visitors. Now the situation is even worse, with travel bans and quarantines being imposed all over the world as the threat of Covid variants rises. ....
