Nashville-based lobbying firm Ramsey Farrar & Bates has a new name and three new principals. The outfit is rebranding as Ramsey Farrar, Russell & Smith with the elevation of Addison Russell, Matt Russell and Ross Smith as principals. The trio joins founders former Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey and Russell Farrar. Addison Russell joined the firm in 2016. He previously was a research analyst for the state Senate State and Local Government Committee and legislative director for the Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance. Matt Russell, a former research analyst for the Senate Transportation and Safety Committee, joined the firm in 2018. He managed former Republican Sen. Steve Dickerson’s 2016 election victory. ....
