The Timmins-James Bay Conservative Association tells The Daily Press they have zeroed in on their candidate.
“The candidate is undergoing our vetting process, and it’s very extensive,” said riding association president Steve Kidd.
“It goes everywhere from criminal background checks, to credit checks, to character checks and things like that.”
Kidd said the party takes the process very seriously, for good reason.
