New Wisconsin license plate honors utility workers for keeping lights on

MADISON, Wis. (WKBT) A new Wisconsin specialty license plate, labeled “Keeping the Lights On,” is designed to honor Badger State utility employees.
Utility workers are among the essential employees making sure people all across the state have the power they need at home, work and school, according to a news release from the Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles.
The plate, which is available for a one-time fee of $15, can be displayed on most cars, trucks and campers.
“The pandemic has demonstrated just how essential our electric cooperative workers are,” said Steve Freese, president and CEO of the Wisconsin Electric Cooperative Association, ....
