Killeen parks officials will be holding a meeting to discuss the cityâs Parks Master Plan on Monday.
Officials will meet at 5:30m p.m. at the Lions Club Park Senior Center, 1700 E Stan Schlueter Loop. The meeting is open to the public.
The workgroup is set to review comments on draft technical memorandums and discuss any necessary changes.
The workgroup is made up of representatives of various citizen boards to include Recreational Services, Youth Advisory Committee, Planning & Zoning as well as stakeholders including Fort Hood, Killeen Chamber of Commerce and Texas A&M-Central Texas amongst others.

Killeen police identify victim in fatal multi-vehicle crash

KILLEEN, Texas - The Killeen Police Department has identified a man who died following a multi-vehicle crash in Killeen earlier this week.
KPD says that 41-year-old Victor Alexander Demarest died from his injuries after a crash on Elms Road on July 7.
Around 9 a.m. that day, a patrol officer was traveling west on Elms Road when he saw a blue Dodge Charger traveling east at a high rate of speed, says KPD. The officer turned around to attempt a traffic stop, but lost sight of the Charger on W.S. Young and Stan Schlueter Loop.

KILLEEN, Texas A multi-vehicle crash in Killeen the morning of Wednesday, July 7 that left three people injured, and a 41-year-old man dead, is still under investigation.
According to the Killeen Police Department, a patrol officer was traveling westbound on Elms Road at around 9 a.m. when he saw a blue Dodge Charger traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed. The officer turned around to conduct a traffic stop, but lost sight of the car on W.S. Young and Stan Schlueter Loop.
