The world may be coming around to Richard O'Connor | Features

Richard O’Connor is looking up.
Nine years ago, O’Connor founded the Jesse A. Marcel Library, a small red building off South Hills Road in Clancy, dedicated to exploring and exposing certain mysteries of the universe: unidentified flying objects (UFOs), crop circles, and alien life and lore.
He named it after his friend and medical colleague Dr. Jesse A. Marcel Jr., and Marcel’s father Maj. Jesse A. Marcel. In 1947, Maj. Marcel, then an Air Force intelligence officer, reportedly investigated the crash of an unidentified flying object in Roswell, New Mexico.
Since 2012, O’Connor has packed the Marcel Library with books and papers documenting extraterrestrial phenomena. Every Tuesday evening, he has hosted meetings of those interested in learning more. Through the library and the Crop Circle Foundation, Inc., he has raised money for research and to build awareness. ....

The Roswell UFO Affair: The Men Who Knew What Really Happened

When it comes to the issue of what really happened on what was once known as the Foster Ranch, Lincoln County, New Mexico in early July 1947, there are things we know, things we suspect, and things we will probably never know. But, that
something happened – something which caused the U.S. Air Force to offer multiple explanations for the event – is not a matter of any doubt at all. It was an incident that clearly concerned elements of not just the military, but the government, too, and to a highly significant degree. Eye-witnesses – both military and civilian – were warned not to talk about what they had seen and / or heard. More than a few of those warnings crossed the line and can only accurately be described as death threats. People were plunged into states of fear. Lives were changed forever; even scarred. Some lives may have ended; as in terminated. It was on July 8, 1947 that the strange event surfaced publicly. Associated Press (among many other news outlets) re ....

From the MJ12 Documents to the 5412 Documents: A Connection?

Now and again, I’m asked if there is any kind of a connection between the so-called MJ12 group (said to have overseen the secrets of what happened outside of Roswell, New Mexico in the summer of 1947) with what, back in roughly the same time-frame, was a government body known as 5412. The short answer is: no, there
isn’t a connection. Some would disagree. But, some are tragically wrong. When it comes to the content of the MJ12 material, what we have is a “document” that purports to be a 1952 briefing prepared by Admiral Roscoe H. Hillenkoetter for President-elect Dwight D. Eisenhower, informing him that a spacecraft from another world, along with a number of alien bodies, had been recovered from the New Mexico desert in 1947. A second document is a 1947 memorandum from President Harry Truman to Secretary of Defense James Forrestal, authorizing the establishment of the MJ12 group. For years – in fact, for decades – UFO sleuths have argued on the matter of the docum ....
