Warrington Road will be resurfaced westbound from Whittle Brook to Hall Nook. The work was set to take five weeks, but due to Covid-19 restrictions and the third lockdown, it will now take six weeks. The road will be closed each day between 7pm and 1am. The signed diversion route will be A57 Sankey Way, A57 Liverpool Road, Stocks Lane and Farnworth Road. The works will be carried out in two phases to minimise inconvenience. First, Whittle Brook to the petrol station, and, then the petrol station to Hall Nook. Any residents or businesses needing access to the closed sections of the works should speak to the contractors on site as soon as they can. Access will only be allowed if it is safe to do so. ....
