A COLWYN Bay councillor has praised the work of a food bank that began during the coronavirus lockdown.
Cllr Abdul Khan, chair of Conwy County Borough Council, recently visited St Josephs Community Connect Food Bank on Conway Road.
It was set up during the response to the first lockdown in March to deliver food to people who were self-isolating.
Since then it has become an established food bank in cooperation with Saint Vincent De Paul Society, open from 9am to 6pm during weekdays and weekends.
“I was truly touched by the sheer hard work the volunteers are carrying out in helping those in need in our community, said Cllr Khan. ....
