The arena is now able to host shows without social distancing, mask requirements, or capacity limits. The center first shut down, due to the pandemic, back in March of 2020. Since then they ve slowly started to host limited events, such as the Missouri Valley Conference NCAA Basketball Tournament and several local graduations, but nothing like normal. ....
Hillsdale Daily News JONESVILLE The Sauk, Hillsdale County s community theatre, will present its first 24-Hour Theatre Project this weekend, culminating with a public performance. The event begins at 7 p.m. June 11, when five directors and five playwrights meet together. They will be given a topic to inspire the creation of a new 10-minute play. At 8 p.m., an audition is held. Directors and playwrights then select the actors to inspire the new theatrical work. After the cast is set, the writing begins. Playwrights have until 8 a.m. to write their new works. At 8 a.m., the actors gather to read the scripts for the first time. ....
