CINCINNATI â Ron Froh added a hunting photo to his Facebook profile in November, prompting a friend to ask where he bagged the 8-point buck.
âI own 2,000 acres in Ohio,â he replied.
That was an understatement.
Ron Froh, CEO of Commercial Liability Partners, made this his Facebook profile photo last November.
Froh, CEO of Missouri-based Commercial Liability Partners LLC, or CLP, has acquired more than 6,000 acres in Ohio by hunting for deals on retired power plants, and assuming the environmental liabilities that go with them. Clean Energy Columbus start date nears, opt-out deadline is April 29

A letter describing the city s new green-energy electricity aggregation plan alerted many Columbus residents that the program s start date is fast approaching and caused confusion for some.
The letter, sent last week by Columbus Mayor Andrew J. Ginther and AEP Energy s Chief Solutions Officer Scott D. Slisher, was sent as a reminder to Columbus residents that thevoter-approved Community Choice Aggregation program, also known as Clean Energy Columbus, is set to begin soon.
Starting in June, AEP Energy will supply 100% local Ohio-based clean energy to eligible residents and small businesses through May 2034, the letter said. Participants will be automatically enrolled in the program, and those wishing to opt out have until April 29. ....
