OHIO UNIVERSITY’s third annual MUSIC INDUSTRY SUMMMIT on MARCH 25th will offer nearly 13 hours of national and regional music leaders and artists for learning opportunities and featured performances.
Students, educators and the public can register for free and learn about multiple areas of the music industry, as well as how artists and leaders are navigating the challenges of the pandemic.

At an emergency meeting Monday, Ohio University trustees postponed a decision on a Faculty Senate recommendation to reinstate the tenure of a journalism professor suspended in 2018 after being accused of sexually harassing two women on campus.
Yusuf Kalyango has been the subject of multiple university investigations and lawsuits over the past several years after two women accused him of sexual misconduct. A Title IX Office investigation later found that Kalyango sexually harassed one of the women, a graduate student. ....

An Ohio University Faculty Senate committee recommended in December that journalism professor Yusuf Kalyango shouldnât lose tenure and immediately be reinstated as a full professor after not being ensured adequate due process by the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism and the Scripps College of Communication.
Kalyango has been at the center of several university investigations and lawsuits in recent years related to allegations of sexual misconduct from at least two women, resulting in official university channels, including ethics committees and former Provost and Executive Vice President Chaden Djalali, recommending that he lose tenure and be fired.
He was suspended in 2018 by the university in consultation with the Scripps college after an investigation by the OU Office for Equity and Civil Rights Compliance, or the Title IX office, found that he sexually harassed a graduate student.
