My wife is from Ludlow, Massachusetts located right outside of Springfield, not too far away from most places in central and Western CT. She was the first person to introduce me to a legendary downtown Springfield drinking and dining establishment The Student Prince & The Fort.
They re been operating since 1935 and are now part of The Bean Restaurant Group, who made their bones with another legendary Massachusetts restaurant, which is now closed permanently, Chicopee s Hu Ke Lau. The Bean Restaurant group already operates one restaurant in Connecticut, Union Kitchen in West Hartford, and just yesterday, they opened up a second restaurant on LaSalle Road in WeHa, Wurst Haus.
