Armed Reserve Department soldiers, formerly known as the Popular Defense Forces (PDF), killed four farmers and injured three others near Julud village, w
hich lies 45 km to the southwest of Delling in South Kordofan, on May 26.
The reason for the violence is “unknown”, according to Sudanese Human Rights and Development Organisation (HUDO), which published a statement on Saturday.
The farmers were shot while they were returning to the village from their farms.
Regaieg Said Mandu, Arif Elias Arif, Juma Zakaria Eljak, and Ramadan Naser Eldoud were killed. Abuzaid Gibril, Zakaria Sawag Juma, and Elsheikh Mohamed were injured.

Sudanese Orthodox Christians celebrated Easter on Sunday, May 2.
For the occasion, Radio Dabanga decided to investigate the experiences of Christians in Sudan before and after the ousting of former dictator Omar Al Bashir.
Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdok congratulated Sudanese Christians on this ‘glorious Easter holiday’. The PM conveyed his Easter wishes to “the Sudanese church leadership and people inside and outside the country”.
“May God make all their days a feast, may they be happy, doing well, and enjoying stability”, Hamdok wrote on his official Facebook account.

The security situation in Talodi and Kadugli, South Kordofan, deteriorated in April. Several murders and armed robberies were reported to the police, to no avail.
The Sudanese Human Rights and Development Organisation (HUDO) said in a report this morning, that two armed men wearing uniforms of the Sudan Armed Forces broke into a house in Talodi town on Sunday, and robbed the people present of their phones and money.
Before leaving, they shot Abdelghani Suliman (46) in his abdomen. The victim was taken to a hospital in the North Kordofan capital El Obeid, 400 km from Talodi.
