A HOUSING plan to build 4,400 homes on the green belt north of Oxford will be challenged in the High Court. Cherwell District Council signed off a partial review of its Local Plan last year, after having decided sites where homes should be built on green belt land north of Oxford. But north Oxfordshire residents and campaigners were not happy with plans to build the 4,400 homes in the open countryside, arguing there were more than enough homes to help meet the growing needs of Oxford’s population, the origin of the drive to build on green belt.
