Rochester Police are reporting another homicide, this one happening along Sawyer Street late Friday night. Officers say they originally responded to the scene, locating a woman in her 40s with a gunshot wound to the upper body. First responders attempted lifesaving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. This brings the city’s total homicide count for the year to 36. The investigation to establish a motive for the shooting is ongoing. If you have any information, you are asked to call 911. ....

Updated May 26 Dog days of summer will be on-leash at South Portland’s Hinckley Park The South Portland City Council unanimously passed a temporary leash law for the park to protect the environment and ensure safety.
