The health unit has reported 2,171 cases of COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic, with 2,018 in Greater Sudbury, 113 in the Sudbury District, and 40 in the Manitoulin District.
Additionally, there have been 31 COVID-related deaths in the region.
To date, 262,462 COVID-19 tests have been performed. A total of 979 cases screened positive for variants of concern, but only six variants have been identified in the health unit’s service area. ....
