A Cordova man couldnât have picked a worse time or place to run a stop sign, which resulted in him colliding with an Española Police officer.
Johnny Sandoval, 45, Cordova was arrested the night of Dec. 3 and initially charged with reckless driving under the influence of medication/drugs/alcohol.
Because the accident involved a police officer, the Rio Arriba County Sheriffâs Office handled the investigation.
