RANCHI/JAMSHEDPUR: Ranchiites mostly chose to perform the rituals of the first Somvari of the ongoing Shravan month at their respective homes as most of the Shiva temples remained shut across the city given the pandemic but in Jamshedpur, there was a rush of devotees in the early morning hours.
The Pahari Mandir in Ranchi, which usually sees thousands of devotees during Shravan, made arrangements for online puja, including special puja and rudrabhishek, for the devotees. The treasurer of Pahari Mandir Vikas Samiti, Abhishek Anand, said, “Those willing to offer puja need to pay Rs 101 for special puja and Rs 1,100 for rudrabhishek. The puja is also being telecast live on our website and YouTube from 5am to 8pm.”
