After a drunken brawl this weekend in Shirur tehsil’s Talegaon Dhamdhere village, a man was murdered in broad daylight although Shikrapur police managed to nab the accused within an hour of the crime, especially since he went a little way ahead and passed out on the road. Reportedly, the deceased, Navnath Chaudhury (35), and the accused, Harish Kale (30), were drinking liquor together at the time, when a dispute broke out over Chaudhury allegedly flirting with Kale’s wife.
