10,000 meals distributed on Arafat Day in Sharjah 6 hours ago Gulf Today, Staff Reporter Sharjah Charity International provided 10,000 Iftar meals to workers in the Sajaa Industrial Area on Monday as part of the initiatives of its campaign on Eid Al Adha. Rashid Saleh Bin Hammad, Director of the Resource Development Department, said, “The initiative aims to involve community members on this honourable occasion for Muslims, and to provide meals for workers. The association has been implementing this initiative on several occasions, noting that the initiative was well received by the workers, who expressed their happiness with this generous gesture.” The Sharjah Charity distributed thousands of Iftar meals during the holy month of Ramadan at 116 distribution points that include all cities and regions of the emirate. ....
Sharjah: Sharjah Charitable International has allocated 9,200 boxes to collect donations throughout the year. Of these, 352 boxes will be placed in mosques and public sites during Ramadan, said Rashid Saleh bin Hammad, Director of the Resource Development Department at Sharjah Charitable International. The organisation has set a budget of Dh110 million for its Ramadan campaign. 150 volunteers have selected to supervise the collection of donations for the Friday prayers, tahajjud and qiyam (means staying up at night) and Eid al-Fitr. He pointed out that the Resource Development Department has 232 manual donation devices. These are designed with 24 optional charities choices, in which the donor can choose what he likes by putting the value of his donation inside it. The association provides 23 booths and a table for collecting electronic donation coupons in 23 locations in commercial complexes, shops, cooperative societies and centres. ....
Sharjah: Sharjah Charitable International has confirmed that its doors and channels will remain open to receive donations from those wishing to support the ‘Iftar Meals’ project, through which the charity organisation aims to distribute one million iftar meals from 93 sites across Sharjah and also from select locations outside the UAE. Along with distribution of free iftar meals within Sharjah, the charity organisation will distribute free meals to fasting people in other countries where the organisation has its footprints. This will be done through direct coordination with embassies and association offices in those countries.
