Brelsford is closing on her Woonsocket home in search of more acreage in a rural environment where she and her husband can live. For the past five years, she has camped at her trailer in Foster’s Ginny-B Campground from May through September, making the timing of her sale perfect.
But with no new property secured, her next move remains undecided. Brelsford is planning to navigate the lopsided market during the coming months, and if need be, settle for a less-than-ideal home that she may be able to flip in hopes of finding her “dream house” later on.

The first canon blast at Nicole’s mother’s place and a second ceremony at Tim’s mother’s home were greeted with cheers and applause. The couple then traveled to Tim’s father’s house NevCity. Tim asked gathered family members where they’d like to witness the canon shot. Outside, it was decided. “That’s a good idea,” Nicole announced to everyone, “because we did it inside at my mom’s house and there’s blue everywhere…!” ....

When COVID spread and cities shut down, demand for new living space soared across the Northeast, and in Rhode Island the influx of new buyers from metro New York, Boston and beyond turned an already competitive residential real-estate market brutal. 
Super-fierce, is how Shannon Buss, a Randall Realtors broker and the 2020 Rhode Island Association of Realtors president, described demand for homes. There are more buyers than properties we have to show them . because of lack of inventory in conjunction with low interest rates, there is incentives [for] both buyers and sellers. ....
