A group of women Michigan lawmakers is calling on Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey to relinquish his leadership role for his pattern of “degrading and disturbing” comments about Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.
The Michigan Progressive Women’s Caucus said Shirkey, R-Clarklake, should step down as Senate Majority Leader Thursday, citing his remarks in a video recorded by the Hillsdale County Republican Party where he dubbed the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol attack a “hoax,” said he’d thought about challenging Whitmer to a fistfight and boasted that he’d “spanked” her on a number of political issues. ....

FLINT, Mich -  The Wall Street Journal is reporting The FBI is once against investigating online threats against Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.
The Wall Street Journal, citing the FBI says Iran is behind a website that incited violence against Whitmer, FBI Director Christopher Wray, and more than a dozen other state and federal officials who have challenged President Donald Trump’s allegations of election fraud.
The Journal reports a website named “Enemies of the People” shows images, home address and other personal information about the officials, falsely claiming they engaged in treason because they “aided and abetted the fraudulent election against Trump,” The Wall Street Journal reports. ....
