Join “Zoom with Vose Wednesdays at 6pm,” Wednesday, May 12, as Lorain Francis shares ways that the community and surrounding neighbors can advocate to help eliminate food insecurity in Knox County.
Lorain is a Union resident who is Chair of the town of Union’s Age in Place Committee. She is on the Thompson Community Center Committee, the Board of Directors for Come Spring Food Pantry, and works for the Penquis Community Action Program.
Her list of community contributions and involvement include Program Director for AmeriCorps Sr. Program; Sr. Volunteers in Food Pantries and Knox County Gleaners, and she is a member of the Steering Committee for the Knox County Food Council.

Join “Zoom with Vose Wednesdays at 6pm,” on May 5, as Jim Doble discusses his hand crafted instruments, sound therapy and the effect of sound and vibration.
Doble has been creating unique, mostly percussive, musical instruments out of a disparate collection of materials such as wood, steel, glass, aluminum, and stone for about 35 years. In more recent years, he has been focusing most of his instrument building to designs suitable for public spaces, such as playgrounds, children s museums, and the like. Wishing further to delve into the intricacies of sound and vibration, he now has also entered into the quickly evolving realm of sound therapy: using sound and vibration to help stimulate health and personal evolution.

Vose Library hosts a live performance by Martin Gibson, on April 21 for the “Zoom with Vose Wednesdays at 6pm” event.
“Songwriter, guitarist and author, Gibson will thrill us with an evening of fabulous music,” said Vose, in a news release.
Martin Gibson has been writing and performing music for as long as he can remember. At age 12 he was rescued from a near pointless life of diagramming sentences, starting an insect and worm rehab clinic, and believing everything he heard from his grandfather, who gave him his first guitar. He has penned over 200 vocal and instrumental works for guitar, piano and banjo resulting thus far in two albums,
