UNION Lorain Francis will share ways that the community and surrounding neighbors can help eliminate food insecurity in Knox County during the May 12 “Zoom with Vose Wednesdays” program at 6 p.m.
The Union resident is chairwoman of the town’s Age in Place Committee. She is on the Thompson Community Center Committee and the Come Spring Food Pantry board, and works for the Penquis Community Action Program.
Francis has been program director for AmeriCorps Seniors program and a member of RSVP Senior Corp. Volunteers and Knox County Gleaners, as well as a member of the Knox County Food Council steering committee.

Join “Zoom with Vose Wednesdays at 6pm,” Wednesday, May 12, as Lorain Francis shares ways that the community and surrounding neighbors can advocate to help eliminate food insecurity in Knox County.
Lorain is a Union resident who is Chair of the town of Union’s Age in Place Committee. She is on the Thompson Community Center Committee, the Board of Directors for Come Spring Food Pantry, and works for the Penquis Community Action Program.
Her list of community contributions and involvement include Program Director for AmeriCorps Sr. Program; Sr. Volunteers in Food Pantries and Knox County Gleaners, and she is a member of the Steering Committee for the Knox County Food Council.
