Cambrian's music program faces uncertain times

The Laurentian University music program is gone. Fortunately, Cambrian’s program continues, at least for now.
Cambrian, however, has “suspended intake of new first-year students for fall 2021 semester, the college’s communications manager, Dan Lessard, confirmed.

Given that Laurentian has killed its music program as part of a massive restructuring process, it was thought music students might look at Cambrian as a viable choice to continue their studies.
“We did have inquiries but it has not led to an influx of new first-year students sufficient to maintain a new intake this semester,” Lessard said. “It is just the new first-year students … we are not closing the program. For those going into their second and third year, the program continues. ....
