Charges filed by the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) over a Labour Party donation reveal an alleged illusion was created to conceal the amount and identity of the true donor, while providing them with freedom from any public scrutiny .
Documents released to media this afternoon by the Auckland District Court show six people - a solicitor, public servant, social worker, and three businesspeople - face 12 charges.

On April 22, Uganda’s First Lady and minister of Education, Ms Janet Museveni, made an interesting presentation to newly elected MPs of the ruling NRM political party at their retreat at the National Leadership Institute, Kyankwanzi. The First Lady’s paper titled, ‘The servant leader as a catalyst for socio-economic transformation,’ was incisive and thought-provoking and appears to be a critique of that infamous speech Sabalwanyi delivered in Masindi District on January 26, 2017… more on that speech later.

A senior public servant and former top police officer is recovering in hospital with serious injuries after he was involved in a motorcycle accident yesterday.
Ministry of Social Development chief executive Debbie Power confirmed deputy chief executive for Service Delivery, Viv Rickard, was injured in an accident. We wish his family all the best as he continues to recuperate.
Police told the Herald they were called to reports of a crash in Paekakariki at 6.20pm last night.
