Fiscal Officer Tracy Ferrett:
• Received emails that legislation passed to extend the deadline to Dec. 31, 2021, for local governments to use the CARES Act Funds. The Office of Budget Management is working to adjust the deadlines for local governments for grant reporting purposes.
• Trustees stressed invoices and requisitions should be turned in at least montly, after Ferrett said there have been some issues. Trustee Ken Eddleman added that the end of the year is a busy time and Ferrett should not have to take the time to send reminders about turning in invoices. He said one option would be to not use the township credit card for these purchases and reimburse for charges instead. Eddleman added that Ferrett was not set up as a point of contact on some of the township accounts and cannot contact vendors directly for certain issues, including when they are charging sales tax in error.
