Mangawhai Library is closed and some Kaipara District Council building and health inspections suspended after a positive Covid case was disagnosed in Northland.
However, no services at the Whangārei and Far North district councils have been affected so far.
The Mangawhai Library will look to reopen on Tuesday next week.
The Kaipara council s Dargaville offices open between 9am and 4.30pm and at Mangawhai from 9am to 4pm. ....

Two Aucklanders are being treated as confirmed community Covid-19 cases by the Ministry of Health.
In a statement late last night, Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield said it was likely the pair contracted the virus at their managed isolation facility, Auckland s Pullman Hotel - the same facility where it is believed the 56-year-old Northland woman contracted the virus on Saturday, causing mass testing in the region. ....

Covid-19: Businesses visited by Northland case 'angry' at lack of guidance

Hundreds of people are being asked to stay home and get a Covid-19 test today after a Northland woman tested positive for the virus.
Businesses visited by Northland’s community Covid-19 case say they are “angry and frustrated” at not being contacted by health officials, with some resorting to Healthline for guidance.
Stuff has spoken to 11 businesses who say they weren’t contacted by the Ministry of Health, leaving some unsure whether to remain open or close for a deep clean.
Some said they had been waiting on hold for hours in an attempt to get guidance from Healthline.

A 56-year-old woman from Northland tested positive for Covid-19 after completing the required 14 days of managed isolation at the Pullman Hotel in Auckland.

Community on alert: Northlanders get Covid-19 tests and hope for best

The new community case of Covid-19 in Northland has locals worried about another community outbreak.

Many are rushing to get tested and some have stockpiled food to get ready for any alert level change. Some say they ll be more prudent with the tracer app and masking.
The Four Square supermarket in Maungaturoto, just to the west of Brynderwyn, was quieter than normal after a brief visit of the 56-year-old woman.
Some shoppers have already masked up and others said they have one ready to go. Staff members have been reminding people to sign in by pen and paper or scan the Covid Tracer app. ....
