Calvary Chapel Harrisburg – West Shore is running out of room at its current building in Lower Allen Township and is planning to construct a new church building and school in Silver Spring Township.
The church plans to build the new 23,800-square-foot facility at 28 N. Locust Point Road, which is twice as large as its facility on Lisburn Road.
The church came in front of the Silver Spring Township Planning Commission at its virtual meeting on Thursday night to request conditional use approval for a house of worship and school, which the commission unanimously recommended to the township supervisors. Filson Rental Properties plans to build two 12,000-square-foot industrial facilities at 44 E. Main St.
Silver Spring Township-based Filson Rental Properties presented the land development plan on Thursday night in front of the Silver Spring Township Planning Commission. The developer also requested to subdivide the existing lot into two lots separated by Dauphin Drive.
The planning commission unanimously recommended the subdivision and land development plan to the Silver Spring Township supervisors, who will have the final say on the approvals.
One building will be used by Schmuck Metal Fabricator to manufacture manifolds for high performance cars and Tulpehocken Water/Filson Water will use the other building to manufacture and service water purifying equipment.

There are several preowned dealerships and numerous new car dealerships.
The choices are many – from Nissan, Ford, Toyota and Mitsubishi to BMW, Maserati, Audi, Porsche, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz and more. And there is also a Harley Davidson motorcycle dealership as well.
And soon another dealership will be built on the Carlisle Pike.
The new automotive dealership will be located at 6458 Carlisle Pike in Silver Spring Township at the site of Noland, a plumbing supplies store. The 46,000-square-foot building will be redeveloped into an automotive dealership.

The Triple Crown Corporation is building a facility in the 7000 block of the Carlisle Pike in Silver Spring Township.
The Lower Paxton Township company plans to build the 36,000-square-foot building at the property, which would be accessed from Louis Parkway.
The final subdivision and land development plans were submitted to Silver Spring Township to consolidate two lots into a single 4.9 acre lot. The plans were presented in front of the Silver Spring Township Planning Commission on Thursday night. The plan known as Golden Triangle Lots 2A-3 was recommended for approval by the commission and still requires approval by the Silver Spring Township Board of Supervisors.
