Main Street to host Seniors on Tour event Chillicothe News In conjunction with Historic Preservation Month which is all the month of May, Main Street Chillicothe is hosting a Seniors on Tour . This is a downtown leisurely walking tour for senior citizens to be taken on a guided tour which will be led by Kirsten Mouton of the Livingston County Library, according to a press release from Main Street Chillicothe s Executive Director, Pam Jarding. This tour will start at Silver Moon Plaza, 707 Webster St., at 10 a.m. on May 20, with coffee and donuts. Then the tour will begin. Our goal for this event is to learn about the history behind the downtown historical buildings and see the beautiful murals, Jarding said. ....
National Day of Prayer events to be held May 6 Chillicothe News On May 6 National Day of Prayer will be celebrated across the country and here in Chillicothe. A free-will donation prayer breakfast will begin at 8 a.m., May 6 at the YMCA. Adam Mast will be the guest speaker at the breakfast, which will also include music Proceeds from the breakfast will go to Operation Health. Make reservations by calling the YMCA in Chillicothe. The Ministerial Alliance Prayer Rally will be at 6 p.m., May 6 in Silver Moon Plaza and will feature music and prayers for city, county, state and federal leaders. ....
May 14 Wine Walk scheduled Chillicothe News Main Street Chillicothe is hosting their Spring 2021 Wine Walk from 4:30 -7:30 p.m., on Friday, May 14, in downtown Chillicothe. Participating merchants will still be serving Missouri wines, with several serving food, as well. Each participating merchant will have plastic disposable glasses for the tasting. Chillicothe News One of the community’s most-loved photos by former Constitution-Tribune Editor, Catherine Ripley is now available in print. Funds raised from the sale of the 8x10 photo prints will benefit the Livingston County Veteran s Association. The snowy image of Silver Moon Plaza will be $10. The proceeds will help with general building construction and anything else needed to finish the inside of the Veterans Building on Washington Street. Prints are $10 cash only. Prints can be picked up from Jenetta Cranmer at the Constitution-Tribune from 8 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and 1-4 p.m., Monday-Friday at the Constitution-Tribune’s Office. ....
