STAFF and children at Corwen Day Nursery were delighted to receive personal letters of thanks from soldiers who they gifted goodie boxes too throughout last year. One of the nursery s chosen charities is Support Our Soldiers - who they send the goodie boxes through to troops on deployment. The parcels are a valuable contribution in boosting and maintaining morale amongst those on overseas duties and are much appreciated by members of the Armed Forces. Corwen Day Nursery last week received letters of thanks from some of the soldiers who received their goody boxes. Most of the letters (like the one pictured below) were from soldiers based in Estonia Another one was from Afghanistan and another came from a soldier serving in Cyprus.

Singing had been the centerpiece of his life. It got him through high school and into Westminster Choir College, a music school in New Jersey, where he majored in vocal performance.

I m trying really hard to not be sad that we filmed our entire recital on grid mode.so instead of a beautiful full-picture view of our recital we captured
everything. It s fun, I suppose, that we ll get to watch our audience s reaction (since we couldn t see them from where we were performing) but.it s simply not the finished product I d hoped for.
Luckily we filmed our dress rehearsal this afternoon, so we have that.

The new Reception class children at Montgomery Church in Wales School are approaching the end of their first term in the school. Headteacher Anna Griggs was amazed by the youngsters’ confidence as they learnt and performed the Talk for Writing story ‘Little Red Hen’ during the autumn. The children have recently featured in the town’s online advent calendar, for which they made a special recording of a favourite Welsh Christmas carol, ‘Ser y Nos yn Gwenu’ along with their friends in years one to three.
