A NURSERY has thanked Denbighshire County Council for its phenomenal work in carrying out improvements to their facilities recently. Corwen Day Nursery has recently enhanced its environment both inside and outside through various projects for their children. Two of the projects, funded by Denbighshire County Council, were for the installation of an all-weather canopy for the main outdoor area and a complete bathroom refurbishment for all the bathrooms. Carmen Roberts Davenport, owner of Corwen Day Nursery, said: “The support that I have received from Denbighshire County Council during these last 12 months has been phenomenal, I cannot thank the team enough.
STAFF and children at Corwen Day Nursery were delighted to receive personal letters of thanks from soldiers who they gifted goodie boxes too throughout last year. One of the nursery s chosen charities is Support Our Soldiers - who they send the goodie boxes through to troops on deployment. The parcels are a valuable contribution in boosting and maintaining morale amongst those on overseas duties and are much appreciated by members of the Armed Forces. Corwen Day Nursery last week received letters of thanks from some of the soldiers who received their goody boxes. Most of the letters (like the one pictured below) were from soldiers based in Estonia Another one was from Afghanistan and another came from a soldier serving in Cyprus.
STAFF at Corwen Day Nursery say they have many plans in place to improve facilities in 2021. After surviving a challenging year during 2020, the nursery now plans to improve the building and the surrounding area. Projects for Corwen Day Nursery include; new flooring and new furniture in both the pre-school rooms, an all-weather canopy for the main outdoor area and a complete refurbishment for all bathrooms. Staff hope these improvements will have a positive impact on the children’s wellbeing and provide a rich environment for their play and learning.
