Mums from Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds and across Suffolk suggest their top 12 family days out in the county. Ranging from exploring Needham Lake near Stowmarket, to a trip to the village of Newbourne near Woodbridge.
Young Chef of the Year, sponsored by BIdfood – Harvey Thompson of Tuddenham Mill
The outdoor tipi restaurant continues to operate at award-winning Tuddenham Mill, and chef patron Lee Bye is excited to re-open to customers inside, as is young chef winner Harvey, who was over-the-moon to win in our competition last autumn.
“Winning felt great. It was nice to prove myself and get my name out there. I can’t wait to re-open the indoor restaurant now. With most of last year a write-off it’s good to have a level of certainty again. We’ve had some fantastic hand-dived scallops on in the tipi so I’m looking forward to putting them in the dining room and playing around with some different flavours. We’ve also hooked up with some fantastic local suppliers for re-opening, including Mike Malloy who supplies us with the most amazing ex-dairy cow steaks.”
