Power outage leaves 1,412 Prince George homes in the dark SHARE ON: Affected area (Photo by BC Hydro website) Over 1,400 Prince George homes are without power following a motor vehicle incident on the West side of town. BC Hydro crews are currently on the scene, which occurred on Ospika Boulevard. The homes have been without electricity since 1:52 pm. Buildings located east of Faulkner Crescent, south of Hatherly Road, north of Dufferin Ave, and West of Laurier Crescent could be without power until the work is complete.

Scituate DPW employees repair veteran memorial signs

Wicked Local For about a month, members of the Scituate Public Grounds Division have been working on a special project – they have been restoring approximately 15 veteran memorial signs/markers throughout town. These signs/markers honor the men and women who served in the U.S. military or who gave the last full measure of devotion to their nation, said DPW equipment operator John Kerr, who served four years active duty in the U.S. Marines. “If the sign has a white star it denotes the veteran served their nation; a gold star means they gave the ultimate sacrifice and died in combat for their nation.”
