陳以信昨（7日）在臉書發文表示，民國50年，當時25歲出身雲南反共救國軍蔣將軍，自異域來到台灣入海軍官校，成陸戰隊軍人，守在外島最前線，並曾任烏坵少將指揮官，是真正的孤軍之光和泰北之光。
近來由於三級疫情嚴峻，陳以信指出，部分緬甸來台僑生陷入困境，他與孤軍後裔友人，募集一些物資幫助這些緬甸僑生，年歲已高的蔣將軍在報導上看到，特別主動與他聯繫，也與舊部李正銘、李光明、段天才、馬有福捐贈數萬元泰緬物資，給同是孤軍後裔的緬甸僑生。
陳以信稱，蔣將軍告訴他，自己只是「行其力之所能，求其心之所安」，李正銘等舊部也說，當年才11、12歲輾轉經由緬甸、泰北、清萊撤退來台，有幸念了陸官、憲兵專科班，服役到上校退伍，很感念國家的照顧。陳以信嘆，「其實當年是台灣對不起他們，該向孤軍們� ....
