I m writing to recognize a particular group of nurses who are Ridgefield’s unsung heroes, a special team that works continuously behind the scenes to keep our community safe and healthy: the school nurses of Ridgefield Public Schools, St. Mary School and Ridgefield Academy. From day one of the pandemic, our school nurses have gone above and beyond for the teachers, staff, families and children of our community. They eagerly and bravely returned to school during the pandemic and adopt new protocols to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 in our school buildings. They donned protective equipment, such as N95 masks, medical gowns and face shields, and cared for students and staff members exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms before they could be sent home l ....

Written by Aaron Crook As an addendum to the COVID-19 communication sent on April 18, the communication incorrectly stated that we learned on April 13, that two members of the RHS community tested positive for COVID-19. This should have said that on Tuesday, April 13, we learned that two members of the Veterans Park Elementary School (VPES) community tested positive for COVID-19. These individuals were not in the VPES building during a period of time when they were potentially infectious to others. No contact tracing is needed. Late in the evening Sunday, April 18, we learned that two members of the Scotts Ridge Middle School (SRMS) community tested positive for COVID-19. These individuals were not in the SRMS building during a period of time when they were potentially infectious to others. No contact tracing is needed. ....
Ridgefield High School Freshman Has Top 40 Hit Song Written by Bart Pockets Ridgefield High School freshman Jimy Bishop has been busy writing and recording new music while stuck at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Jimy optimistically released a song titled “Take It to the Streets” earlier this year and has been unexpectedly but quite pleasantly surprised by the public reaction. The song is currently #27 on the New Music Weekly Top 40 Chart and #36 on the New Music Weekly Hot 100 Chart.
