CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS â While Robert Walton didnât fight in Southeast Asia, his unit served a very important mission. Ever since he came home, heâs been fighting for his life, and says heâs gotten very little help from the Department of Veterans Affairs.
âI canât seem to get anyone to listen to what I try to tell them,â said Walton.
Walton served in the U.S. Air Force from 1969-73. He was stationed in Thailand, working on camera systems carried aboard F-4 aircraft. He says thatâs where he was exposed to Agent Orange.

PORT ARANSAS, TEXAS â A local veteran has a unique offer for a fellow veteran in need.
Port Aransas resident Richard Titus served two years in the U.S. Navy. Recently, his friend, Ken Vaughn passed away shortly after Vaughn received a brand new prosthetic leg.
The leg, a right leg, was waiting to be fitted and was never used. Titus wants to give it to someone who is in need of a leg and has had a hard time getting one.
âSomebodyâs got to have a use for this $20,000 leg, or how ever much not costs, I know itâs a very expensive leg,â said Titus. âI canât throw it away, somebody needs a leg.â
